We are pleased to announce that the orthoimagery collected in 2015 for 24 counties comprising the southern Piedmont and Mountains section of North Carolina is now available online from the NC OneMap Geospatial Portal. As in previous years, this imagery is available both as a web service and via download. The orthoimagery is true color imagery and has a pixel resolution of 6 inches. This means you can zoom in to a scale of about 1:575 before the imagery starts to lose clarity. In order to conserve disk space the raw imagery was compressed during processing so image analysis (using the actual pixel values) is discouraged. Click the Read More link below to read the full article.

The NC Parcels have quickly become the most popular vector data set offered by NC OneMap. Based on customer feedback, the cyan color used to represent the parcels data (polygons and centroids)  has been replaced with magenta to provide better visibility across a wider variety of base maps.

We are pleased to announce that the orthoimagery collected in 2014 for the northern Piedmont section of North Carolina is now available online from the NC OneMap Geospatial Portal. As in previous years, this imagery is available as a web service and via download. The orthoimagery is true color imagery and has a pixel resolution of 6 inches. This means you can zoom in to a scale of about 1:575 before the imagery starts to lose clarity. In order to conserve disk space we compressed the raw imagery during processing. Visually you can't tell the difference. However, image analysis (using the actual pixel values) is discouraged. Click the Read More link below to read the full article.
